Customers using the NYMEX ClearPort® trading or clearing platforms must establish a relationship with a clearing member of the Exchange.

Applicants are required to register themselves to receive access to the NYMEX ClearPort trading or NYMEX ClearPort clearing platforms.

ATTENTION: CLEARING MEMBERS PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE EXCHANGE ALSO OFFERS A MANUAL EXECUTION VERSION OF THE EXCHANGE USER LICENSE AGREEMENT AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO ELECTRONIC EXECUTION. IF YOU ARE REGISTERING ON BEHALF OF A CLEARING MEMBER, PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED ON BEHALF OF YOUR FIRM TO ELECTRONICALLY REGISTER WITH THE EXCHANGE AND EXECUTE THE EXCHANGE USER LICENSE AGREEMENT ONLINE, YOU WILL NEED TO REQUEST THE MANUAL EXECUTION VERSION OF THE EXCHANGE USER LICENSE AGREEMENT. Please contact Exchange customer service at 1-800-438-8616 if you have any questions regarding the registration and the execution of the Exchange User License Agreement, and to obtain a copy of the manual execution version.

To register with the Exchange, all applicants must:
  1. Legal Documentation: Read and agree to required legal documents including, without limitation, the Exchange User License Agreement (and all relevant documents, schedules and appendices referenced therein); and
  2. Registration Documentation: Submit a registration form with the following required information:
    • Applicant Firm Information;
    • User Profiles; and
    • Fix Connection Information, if applicable.

Once the applicant completes the form, one must click "submit" to send the registration form online. In the event of a problem, a message will appear requesting the applicant to print the registration form and fax it to customer service at 212-301-4751.

To edit existing firm information, add new users, edit, and disable existing user information, registered firms must submit a change form.

System Requirements for NYMEX ClearPort

The recommended minimum configuration for a client machine using NYMEX ClearPort is:

  • Pentium class CPU, with Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.
